Get ready for a picture overload!
My Annual Abaya Flash Sale is by far my favourite event on the Nspired calendar, but this year had its fair share of pre-event drama. With a prediction of rain on the day, at the very last hour, we decided to change the venue. Finding a suitable venue in less than a week and preparing to set up at the venue was an adrenalin pumping task. Alhamdullilah I have a spirited team who have my back and we managed to put it all together.
Transforming the Suffah Community Hall to fit in with our ‘Winter is Coming/Game of Thrones’ theme came with some quick thinking, planning, rearranging and lots of laughter. We managed to set up a boutique Pop-Up event and not a dreaded ‘fete vibe’
I was concerned that I would loose the intimacy of the Abaya shopping if I move to a venue, but setting up a boutique pop-up made it so much more engaging. This year the Nspired team had two spaces one for the Abayas and a separate pop-up for the ‘coverUps’ (read about the cover-ups here) I am so proud of the ‘coverUp’ team, they laboured through the day with so much avidity! I am even more proud that they now run the ‘coverUp’ instagram account as well!

A personal message from me to the wonderful ladies I collaborated with on the day, as well as the entire Nspired team:
“There are only two words to describe what an inspiration the day was…..’Women Empowerment’. You have talents, skills and energies that take charge! Ladies it was an absolute privilege to work with each one of you!
From the style in which you set up your spaces to the hospitality you showered onto the many, many guests who stepped through those doors…..deep deep admiration! Respect and gratitude to you ladies!”

Rizwaana our Dubai living food blogger brought her favourites to the pop-up, they were quickly sold out too!
Fehmz Flash Bar
That menu at the flash bar though! I don’t think Fehmz had time to breath; she was mixing those mocktails all day.
That Kowse and Mexican bean station was definitely a crowd pleaser. Anisa certainly knows how to warm us up.
